Ok, ok. I know this is long overdue! And I apologize to those of you who have been checking the site to see what's new. Shortly after my last post, I had finals. All five on one day and to top it off, a week early! So that was all I did, study, study, study. When that was over Christmas hit us like a freight train. Now that that's over with it seems like we're just getting back to a slower pace. I am taking one intersession class now. It's a crash course, just two weeks long M-F from 9-1pm. It's a lot but it was the last class I needed to graduate and I would rather finish before the baby is born. So, finally, how is the baby and mom to be doing? Well a lot, and I mean a lot has happened in just 7 short weeks. I think I have been through more transition these last few weeks than through the whole pregnancy. I have had two huge growth spurts where my belly blew up, I'm starting to get achy and uncomfortable, having a hard time sleeping at night (heartburn), and really just getting bored of this pregnancy. I'M READY TO HAVE A BABY! I think all the discomforts that happen during the last few weeks are your body's way of preparing you to be ready for the birth. And to think, I still have just under 5 weeks to go! I keep telling myself, "there's no way I can get any bigger" and it seems like just as I say that I grow a few more inches! From the 30th week or so your belly will measure in inches from the bottom to the top along with the weeks you are pregnant. Amazing! This means that with 5 weeks to go, I will grow five more inches around! IMPOSSIBLE! But, I'm sure it's not.... All the Christmas goodies this year I'm sure contributed to the belly as well! She is growing so big that when she moves now it's visible from the outside! I wonder sometimes when sitting in class if my classmates can see this and how it must freak them out! Whe she moves it feels like all my insides are turning with her! What an amazing feeling! It really is a great time to be pregnant though. I went from sleeping with a heating pad in the winter to sleeping in a 64 degree room, with a fan, and most of the night, just a sheet. I've even contemplated opening our bedroom window a couple of times during the night! Our baby shower is coming up on January 17th and I hope you all are able to make it. Be sure to RSVP so that the kind souls who are preparing the amazing food will be able to make enough! Well that's about it for now. In the next day or two I will upload some pictures from a photo shoot Zach and I did, home pics during Christmas, and pics of how the nursery is coming along. Blogspot is having technical difficulties now and not letting me upload anything! Love you all!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween! We sure did. We were in New York City the weekend before Halloween and it was really neat! The center of Central Park had a festival and they lined the walkways with hundreds of jack-o-lanterns! We also took a haunted ghost tour of a historical row house, spooky... As for Halloween night, we didn't do anything special, just sat around the house watching scary movies, eating candy, and passing it out to trick-or-treaters! Oh yeah, and Zach painted my belly like a pumpkin!

IT'S A GIRL!
Yeah! Finally, the posting you've all been waiting for. We are having a beautiful baby girl! We are so excited and a little thrown off track (considering that I thought it was a boy) but so happy to finally be able to refer to "it" as "her" instead. Most of you all predicted it would be a girl, HOW DID YOU KNOW?? We are still thinking of names (we had our boy name all ready to go). Now comes the fun part, choosing the nursery theme, colors, and furniture! The not so fun part; paying for it all. Keep us in your prayers!

Big Belly!

So overnight it grew, then grew some more! At this rate I'm gonna be a house when all is said and done! Not really, but that's how I feel. Somedays I feel normal, others I feel huge. No stretchmarks (yet and hopefully never) thanks to Zach so faithfully rubbing cocoa butter and vitamin E oil on my belly every night. He's so wonderful! These are the most recent belly pics and were taken at 22 weeks. I can feel the baby kick all the time and Zach has even been able to finally feel the baby move! It is so awesome to be able to share that with him. We will be going in for our next ultrasound to collect some of the missed data from the last ultrasound as well as have another shot at finding out the sex of the baby! Hopefully he/she cooperates a little more this time and gives us a xerox quality shot! If not, it looks like we'll just have to wait and see on his/her birthday!
